Well then you might want to go for some great Italian. At the Il Ritorno, which is a Casa Italia, you will find some of the most wonderful plates of Italian food, and some great tasting pizzas. Whatever you choose, try to remember that traditional Costa Rican food is not the same as Mexican food-it is usually much healthier and less spicy. While in the country, be sure to try casado, meal that consists of rice, black beans, and a portion of fish, chicken, or beef and is served with a fresh chopped cabbage salad and palmitos, the heart of a palm tree served with a vinegar dressing.
